PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED AND WHY IT IS COLLECTED
This website collects and uses personal information for the following reasons:
Tracking site visits
Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics (GA) to track user interaction. This information is used to determine the number of people using this website to better understand how they find and use this website and to see their journey through the website.
Although GA records information such as your geographic location, your device, your Internet browser, and your operating system, none of this information can personally identify you. GA also records the IP address of the computer that could be used for personal identification, but Google does not give access to that. We consider Google to be a third-party data processor (see Article 4 below).
Disabling cookies on your internet browser will stop GA from tracking any part of your visit to any part of this website.
Contact email address
If you choose to contact me via email address, none of the data you supply will be stored on this website and will not be transmitted/processed by any of the third parties of the data processors defined in Article 6. Instead, the data will be collected in email and will be sent to me via the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) which means that the content of the email is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before sending over the Internet. The email content is decrypted by local computers and devices.
If you choose to subscribe to the newsletter list, the email address you send is forwarded to the software platform that provides email marketing services. The email address you send will not be stored on any of our internal computer systems.
Your email address remains within the database of that platform as long as we continue to use the services of that email marketing platform or until you request unsubscribe from the newsletter list. You can do this by unsubscribing, using the unsubscribe links found in all the newsletters sent to you, or by requesting unsubscription via the contact email address.
If you are under the age of 16, you must obtain parental consent before subscribing to the newsletter.
PARTNER COMPANIES PROCESSING DATA (THIRD PARTIES)
This website uses some business partner services to process personal information on my behalf. These companies have been carefully selected and all comply with the regulations set out in Article 2.
VIOLATION OF DATA PRIVACY
I will notify all relevant persons and competent authorities of any breach of data privacy from the database or the database of any of my partners within 72 hours of the breach if it is obvious that the stolen data has been stored in such a way that the identity of the data owner can be revealed.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY STATEMENT
This privacy statement may be amended from time to time following legislation or industry developments. I will not explicitly notify my customers or website users of these changes. Instead, I recommend that you periodically check this page for any statement changes.
